Introducing Dehumidifiers as well as the Function of theirs

by Gregory Malley (2022-06-30)

Dehumidifiers utilize a heat pump (similar to an air conditioner's heat pump) or chemical substance adsorbents to get rid of moisture away from the air without cooling the atmosphere.

A heat pump dehumidifier uses a lover to bring interior air over a heat exchange coil. The coil is just about freezing. The water in the air flow condenses on the coil and it is drained. A second heat exchange coil reheats the air, that the dehumidifier exhausts into the space.

A heat pump dehumidifier dumps heat lost from the compressor and fan motors to the atmosphere. It comes back to the indoor air the heat generated by the dehumidifier turning water vapour to fluid.

Synthetic adsorbent dehumidifiers
This type of dehumidifier is designed for hot, humid climates and isn't truly suited to be used in Canada.
Synthetic adsorbent dehumidifiers absorb moisture away from the air with a "desiccant"--a drying agent such as silica gel. The desiccant is holding a heat exchange wheel. A distinct air loop dries the controls and exhausts the hot, damp air outside through special ducting.

A substance adsorbent dehumidifier spends much more power compared to a heat pump dehumidifier. It is just economical when it uses natural gas for best portable ac charger heat exchange--and then just if natural gas is available at a reduced summer time fee.
