Instagram as today's social media is a place to channel expression by sharing photos or videos of users' daily activities. The existence of Instagram social media gives rise to a new phenomenon, namely the existence of Instagram celebrities or commonly known as celebgrams. Celebrities often share the intimacy of their relationships such as family relationships, friendships, and dating. This study aims to describe the closeness depicted in a photo or video post from one of the @fuji_an celebrity accounts on Instagram social media using the semiotic theory of Ronal Barthes. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using a virtual ethnographic approach. The data collection technique in this study is to filter several photos or videos from the @fuji_an Instagram account with the criteria of photos or videos that show closeness to family, friends, or partners. The results of this study will show that closeness can be described by gestures such as hugging, wrapping hands around the partner's shoulders, kissing, and eye contact.References
