STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI SERIKAT PEKERJA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN PERSELISIHAN HUBUNGAN INDUSTRIAL DI PT. POU YUEN INDONESIA

Abstract

The research entitled "The Union Communication Organization Strategies in Resolving Industrial Relations Disputes at PT. Pou Yuen Indonesia" aims to find out the role, the problem that has been resolved, and the communication strategy used by the Union to resolve a case at PT. Pou Yuen Indonesia.

The method that writer uses in this research adopts qualitative research methods with a case study approach and assists by organizational communication theory. This theory is used to find out how the ability of a trade union organization is considered to play an important role for workers or employees if they experience a problem with the company.

Data collection techniques used to complete this research using observation, interviews, and study documentation. This observation technique used to find out how the state of the field and interviews were conducted with informants who were very relevant to the study so that they were able to explore information extensively, then assisted by documentation.

The conclusion of this research is that the Union is a very important labor organization, because the organization can accommodate the aspirations and grievances of workers or employees experiencing problems. Problems that often occur include the amount of unreasonable wages for laborers, the contract work system (outsourcing), and unilateral termination of employment by employers, foreign workers whose wages are cheaper than local workers, and many other problems that then arise marginalization of labor. In addition, the problems that also often arise from the workers/ employees themselves who are the focus in this study are indiscipline in attendance and working hours, indispilner in work, and behavior that does not follow the company's rules.

Through an organizational communication approach, in this problem the Union helps workers not to repeat mistakes that have occurred, it’s done by providing guidance on employment and public speaking, so the workers or employees are able to communicate well with the leadership of the company directly.
