Dalam konteks pengembangan infrastruktur jalan di daerah dengan keterbatasan lahan seperti Bandung, perbaikan jalan seringkali memerlukan solusi alternatif seperti pembangunan simpang susun atau flyover. Analisis kondisi tanah melalui pemboran vertikal mengungkap bahwa tanah di daerah tersebut terdiri dari jenis tanah Clay (lempung) dan Sand (pasir), dengan tanah keras yang terletak pada kedalaman sekitar 10 meter. Data dari hasil pemboran menunjukkan bahwa daya dukung tanah bervariasi tergantung pada diameter pondasi yang digunakan. Sebagai contoh, pondasi dengan diameter 400 mm memiliki daya dukung izin sekitar 48 Ton, sedangkan pondasi 600 mm dapat mendukung beban hingga sekitar 143 Ton. Pondasi 800 mm memiliki daya dukung izin sekitar 217 Ton, sementara pondasi dengan diameter 1000 mm memiliki daya dukung izin sekitar 305 Ton.
