Abstract

As researchers know, electricity is a very important energy source for human life both for industrial activities, commercial activities and in everyday life. Given the enormous and important benefits of electrical energy while power generation energy sources, especially those derived from renewable resources, are limited in existence. One of the power generation centres that produces electrical energy is PLTA (Hydroelectric Power Plant), one of which is Jati Luhur Dam located in Purwakarta, West Java Indonesia. Therefore, the researcher analysed the performance of the Hydropower Plant with the Interview method as well as interviews with data collection techniques and one of the others with the Observation method. After doing and analysing the data obtained for the Francis Turbine type hydroelectric power plant has a maximum turbine power achieved of 35.2 MW, namely at a discharge of 46.7m / s² from a height of 77 m at a rotation of 272.7 rpm, the maximum torque achieved is 66 640 N with a frequency of 50 Hz, turbine power (Nt) is 35 . 239 .820 watts.
