Jurnal Audit, Pajak, Akuntansi Publik (AJIB) employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process to maintain the quality of published articles. This process is conducted with transparency and professionalism to ensure that submissions meet academic standards and contribute significantly to the field of study.

Stages of Peer Review

  1. Manuscript Submission
    • Authors submit their articles through the Open Journal System (OJS) in accordance with AJIB’s writing guidelines.
    • The editorial team reviews the submissions to ensure alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with technical requirements.
    • Articles that do not meet the journal's focus or contain plagiarism are rejected at this stage.
  2. Preliminary Screening by the Editor
    • The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript’s quality, including topic relevance, originality, and writing structure.
    • Manuscripts meeting the preliminary criteria are forwarded to reviewers. Otherwise, they are returned to the authors for revisions.
  3. Reviewer Assignment
    • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two independent reviewers who have expertise in the manuscript’s subject matter.
    • The Double-Blind Review process is applied, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential.
  4. Review by Reviewers
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscripts based on the following criteria:
      • Relevance to the journal’s focus areas (audit, tax, or public accounting).
      • Originality and scholarly contribution.
      • Research methodology quality.
      • Clarity of analysis and discussion.
      • Appropriateness of references to the topic.
    • Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:
      • Accepted (no revisions required).
      • Minor Revision (accepted with minor corrections).
      • Major Revision (accepted with significant corrections).
      • Rejected (not accepted).
  5. Editor’s Decision
    • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ feedback:
      • If there are conflicting recommendations, a third reviewer may be consulted.
    • Authors are notified of the decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection).
  6. Revisions by Authors
    • Authors are given 2-4 weeks to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ suggestions.
    • Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the editor or sent back to the reviewers if necessary.
  7. Final Review
    • After revisions, the editor conducts a final check to ensure:
      • The manuscript is free of technical or academic errors.
      • It adheres to AJIB’s publication standards.
  8. Publication
    • Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication in the upcoming journal issue.
    • Authors receive the proof copy for final validation before publication.

Review Policies

  1. Confidentiality: The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
  2. Processing Time: The review process typically takes 4-8 weeks, depending on the manuscript’s complexity and the speed of revisions.
