The Infotronik: Journal of Information Technology and Electronics  Editorial Team emphasizes that all forms of plagiarism are unacceptable. Therefore, a policy has been established that outlines the steps and sanctions that will be applied if plagiarism is found in manuscripts submitted for publication. Before submitting an article, authors are advised to conduct an independent plagiarism check. If the article is deemed publishable, Infotronik Journal will conduct a re-check before the manuscript is published.

Definition

Plagiarism is an act, whether intentional or unintentional, that aims to obtain or attempt to obtain recognition for scientific work by quoting part or all of another person's work without citing the source appropriately and adequately, so that the work appears to be one's own.

General Provisions

Submitted articles must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review or awaiting publication elsewhere.

All quotations, whether direct or indirect, from other sources must be clearly stated so that they can be distinguished from the author's original text.

Handling of Plagiarism

If indications of plagiarism are detected, the Editor-in-Chief will review the manuscript and determine the next steps according to the level of violation, with the following guidelines:

Minor plagiarism

Copying short sentences from another work without citing the source.

Action: The author is given a warning and asked to revise the manuscript by adding the correct citations.

Severe plagiarism

Copying most of the content of an article from another work without proper quotation and without citing the source.

Action: The manuscript is rejected for publication in Infotronik Journal, and the author may be subject to sanctions in the form of a ban on submitting articles to this journal in the future.

Author Responsibility

All authors are fully responsible for the originality of the manuscripts they submit. If the manuscript is proven to contain plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same sanctions.

Double Submission

If the author is proven to have submitted the same manuscript to Infotronik Journal and another journal simultaneously—whether detected during the review process or after publication—the manuscript will be rejected or withdrawn, and the author will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the category of severe plagiarism.

Other Provisions

If acts of plagiarism are found that are not covered in the above guidelines, the Infotronik Journal Editorial Team reserves the right to impose additional sanctions in accordance with internal policies.
